How to stop your nappy bin smelling
A few small habits make a big difference to how fresh your changing area feels.
1. Empty the bin regularly
Don't wait until the bin is packed full. Emptying a little earlier, especially in warm weather, stops odours building up.
2. Clean the bin when you change the cassette
Wipe the inside, the lid and the seal with warm soapy water and let it dry fully before putting a new cassette in.
3. Keep it out of the sun and away from radiators
Heat makes smells stronger. A cool, shaded spot helps keep the bin fresher.
4. Wrap dirty nappies tightly
Fold the nappy closed and tip solids into the toilet where possible before binning.
5. Freshen at the source
Room sprays only mask smells for a short time. CitraBreeze sits inside the cassette itself and adds a fresh lemon-citronella scent right where odours start. It fits all Tommee Tippee cassette systems.
